Murdering Lawyers (Audible Audio Edition) Larry Fine Scott Brick Books

Murdering Lawyers by Larry Fine is a thriller to read. From the moment I started reading this novel, I knew the writer is a practicing lawyer. Larry Fine has done an outstanding job of mixing "lawyer ease" with other elements of life. Secret societies of lawyers and those that prosecute criminal cases, not to mention judges who belong to the society, will lead you through a horror story of those that believe in Satan. Marc Wilson is a new member of the New York Bar and begins by cheating his way into membership into this secret society not knowing it's inner workings. When he does find himself deep into witnessing some of the most bizarre sex and gross murders of children and adults, who does he turn to? He soon learns that he cannot trust anybody! Yet, he meets his new bosses daughter, Samantha, and a love relationship begin. Does Sam begin to learn about her father's desire to lead this secret society? Marc does find those that want to help have sudden heart attacks. He goes to Germany with his new boss, Mr. Eckart, to interview workers that had nearly died in an accident at a plant that is making chemicals. But what is this chemical? Does it have any value? The only other comment that I will make is this, Mr. Fine should check on how to see if a gun is loaded other than "looking" down the barrel. Rated R for the adult reader. Vivid sexual scenes and violence. DP, Castro Valley, CA.

Murdering Lawyers (Audible Audio Edition) Larry Fine Scott Brick Books Reviews

Not impressed. The plot had a few decent twists, but it needed more depth of content. Character development was formulaic. A bit more "history" of the secret society could have filled in some of the missing excitement.
Larry Fine has done an outstanding job, leavening "big law" practice with a rollicking tale of Satanism, murder and mayhem. I truly could not put the book down, I became so invested in the fate of the protagonist, a young lawyer at a large Manhattan firm, who is confronted with treachery from everyone to whom he turns for help. Be sure to read with the light on!
I'm no great critic, but I was looking for something to pass the time. I think some people will be turned off by the minute detail of the legal process, but the author presents it with great accuracy. It was a good casual read...not world class literature, but well worth the time and money invested.
If you enjoy a good thriller, this is the book for you. Never boring, keeps your interest and begs you to ask who are 'the good guys here'. Just when you think you have figured out the plot, the author manages to draw you back in again with another plausible option. The characters are believable, even though most of us have never thought that there are groups of Satanists living and working among us. The author keeps it real, never really leaving us with a question mark. However, Mr. Fine also, at times, leaves us to our own imagination, since not everything is spelled out for us in black & white. Murdering Lawyers walks us through familiar scenery and places in New York and takes us to a different type of culture in Germany. So if you are looking for a good week end read or a way to pass the time on a train ride to work, order a copy. It will not disappoint! Looking forward to the next book.

I can't remember reading a more ridiculous book... not in a long while. I forced myself to finish it out of some stupid sense of "propriety." The writing is without any saving graces it is the work of an amateur who just finished his first writing seminar. The characters are just plain silly the "hero" of the story, a young law student who fakes his way into a "special" club; his soon-to-be boss, who comes to represent something so unbelievable that it is.... well.... not believable. And the girlfriend... who just happens to be the daughter of the boss.... she's about the only sane person in the book.

PLEASE don't waste your time on this "book." It will likely leave you feeling the same way I did, saying to yourself "Why did I bother?"
A legal suspense thriller that kept me reading throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning. I could not put the book down. I finished it within one weekend and wished the story didn't have to end!

The unforeseeable twists and turns keep you hastily turning the pages. The character development engulfs your imagination and has you question the ethics of the legal world and those you know working in it. For a legal thriller, I found it refreshing to have the action outside the courtroom. A must read!
Mark Wilson is a rising star firmly set in the New York City legal community. With a dream job in his sites, there is nowhere to go but up. He soon learns as the protagonist of his own cautionary tale that what’s up is down, trust no one, and he should have been more careful about what he wished for. As he journeys down the rabbit hole, has he passed the point of no return?

With an intriguing plot and masterful character development, Murdering Lawyers is from the outset a page-turner. It is fast-paced and punctuated with surprising twists. Readers will find the attention to detail as compelling as a Brad Meltzer legal thriller or a Dan Brown conspiracy. And anyone familiar with New York City will recognize and appreciate the story’s landscape.

Bravo, Larry Fine you’ve crafted a thoroughly enjoyable reading experience inside the twisted and murky world of Murdering Lawyers.
